Financing KaosPilots

STUDENT SUPPORT FUND ESTABLISHED! Check out details below!!

For some of you millionaires the financial issues around committing to KaosPilots might be just a laugh. For others we know it can be a challenge. This page is meant for those who are looking for creative answers on the question of how to finance your studies at KaosPilots AND have a roof above your head at the same time.

There are as many ways to go about this as there are kaospilots. So, one of the ways to give you some good tips is to share how some of the pilots of Team 1 are going about this issue. You'll find their stories below. Furthermore some of the Dutch and Danish students found creative ways to get access to government support. Please get in touch with the Welcoming Team if you would like to learn more about this. If possible, they will connect you to the Team 1 member that might have the right info for you. If not - you're on some new and unexplored terrain...

So apart from calling on your entrepreneurial spirit as prospective KaosPilots.NL students what else can we throw in to help you decide to apply to our Team 2 and great school in development?

Support Fund

A fund supported by partners (Flight Facilitators), most from the worlds of business and local government, has been set up! This allows us to waiver part of your tuition fees. In total this means that we can support you with funding to cover 2.500 euros of your full tuition fee at KPNL in your first year.. It is not a loan, neither a gift nor a sponsorship since we want to establish real working-relations with our partners – the return value from the school being that you will do some project-work during the first year of studies, which will be partly curricular and partly extracurricular... Moreover, we're currently exploring with the flight facilitators how you could also earn money for your own living while working for them during your studies at KaosPilots.NL!

This agreement does not include the general one time entry fee of that needs to be paid up front. So, we also solicit for your commitment to our school and ask you to pay this in advance and thus gaining co-ownership over the learning space. The agreement will mean that you will pay a substantially lower monthly fee the first year.

Our collective challenge is to keep up this kind of funding for the second and third year.. So, as from day one we will want to involve all your creative ideas to co-create an innovative match to this challenge.

Platform for student earning
We are working very hard on establishing a platform that can support KaosPilots.NL students to earn an extra buck for daily subsistence. The philosophy: earning money by bringing the KP learnings into practice. Why work @ the grocery store next door for shitty money when you can earn and learn more by doing cool stuff... Currently, the first client assignments are being executed and some nice money is being earned :-)
Our intention as a school is to look for synergy between the student earning platform and the curriculum.  Promising territory to be explored here... As you can see, again, this is building a plane while flying - welcome on board!

Bert's way...
As is being said within our school is that you don't GET an education, but you TAKE an education. A lot of people busted their bullocks last summer to be able to pay for the initial entrance fee. I am not one of them. I am in a luxury position where I am able to have a private zero interest loan, which enables me to eat bread with peanutbutter every day. So in order to eat something slightly more fancy every now and then I work two shifts a week in a restaurant. That is one reason, but also the social aspect of it is another one.
For me this education is worth every penny of it. I look at it as an investment.
Of course that is easy for me to say, but when I'm presenting myself as a Kaospilot, as a young creative entrepreneur, you might expect me to find a way to pay for my own education. So I'm confident as we are now slowly getting in some more paid extra-curricular assignments.
The heck with money, you simply cannot put a price tag on what I've been, and am, experiencing!!
